It’s no longer news that Dr. Godwin Maduka has developed an all-inclusive ten-point agenda for the transformation of Anambra State. What is noteworthy in that strategic blueprint is the significant participation of women in his government in compliance with goal number 10 of the UN Millennium Develop Goals (Agenda 2030).

Among other things, the goal seeks to eliminate gender discrimination in all social, economic and political opportunities, especially against women as obtainable in some places in Africa.

Dr. Godwin Maduka, a front-line aspirant of the PDP in the November 6 Anambra governorship election wants to go beyond that. He is desirous to take immediate actions to eliminate all root causes of discrimination against women in Anambra State.

Besides giving Anambra women the opportunity to realise their full potential like their male counterparts in leadership positions as qualified government appointees, he will also ensure they receive other opportunities like their male counterparts in education, commerce and industry, economic empowerment, business funding and job opportunities, amongst other privileges.

Doctor Godwin Maduka believes that Anambra women have what it takes not just to support themselves and their families but to be part of the decision-making process, especially in matters that directly affect their well-being.

His high recognition for Anambra women (a central part of his policy formulation) is that Anambra cannot be transformed rapidly as he plans without active participation of women.

Indeed, Dr. Goodwin Maduka wants Anambra women to enjoy a better and inclusive government.
