Does marriage get inevitably boring?

A Quora user, Kiara Bay have used her parent to explain if marriage eventually gets boring.

According to her verdict, marriage don’t always become bland and boring but it also depends on the individuals.

Read what she says below;

”These are my parents:

”They fell in love in 1987 and they married in 1994. One year later, in 1995, my older sister was born and in 2000 it was my turn to meet the world.

Now, after 31 years of love, they are still so crazy and happy.

I have asked them what’s their secret. My dad thinks that sometimes, going out his personal comfort zone turns out to be the key.

Examples?

My mother complained about my dad’s lack of dancing abilities. She insisted that it was an important skill and invited him to take some classes together (it was just an excuse to do something new). My dad hated the whole idea. He already had enough of anything related to dance because he had to attend his daughters’ endless ballet competitions every week and pay for their expensive costumes. Not to mention he is more a nerd type and less an athlete. He still agreed, though. My dad is now an exquisite dancing partner and he secretly really enjoys it.

My mother, on the other hand, thinks that an important thing to do is courting your partner constantly, even after years. She loves when my dad brings her flowers, she loves surprising him with special dinners just for the two of them. They never stopped dating as if they were teens. Cinema, theater, soccer matches, picnics at the beach…

So the answer to your question is no, marriage doesn’t always become bland and boring. I guess it depends on the individuals; you shouldn’t take your partner for granted or think you are too old to have fun and explore.”
