Don Jazzy, CEO of Mavin Records, says he is willing to wait for 10 years to be with Rihanna, the Barbadian singer.

The Nigerian music executive has often spoken openly, albeit, humorously about his feelings for Rihanna.

But in January, Don Jazzy joked “it is finished” after it became public that Rihanna was expecting a baby with A$ap Rocky, the US rapper.

In May, Rihanna welcomed her first child with the rapper.

The music executive, who seemed unwilling to back down, took to his Instagram page on Friday to reiterate his admiration for the mother of one.

“I go wait if na 10 years e go take,” he wrote in a terse post accompanying a video.

In December 2020, Jazzy reacted to widespread reports that Rihanna and A$ap are in a relationship.

“So all of you have been seeing this fake news flying around and nobody checked on me. It’s aight,” he had written.

In April 2021, the music executive made the headlines after he divulged previously unknown details of his failed marriage to Michelle Jackson.

The record label boss said he married Michelle in 2003 when he was 20 but broke up two years later because of his music obsession.

He also revealed that Michelle would later marry someone else and has a son.

“Michelle is so beautiful inside and outside with such a soft heart. But then being so young and full of dreams, I went and messed it up cos I was giving all my time to my Music,” he had said.

“Music became a priority instead of my family. We got divorced when I was 22 and it hurt. I am still very much in love with my music and I wouldn’t want to marry another and fuck it up again. So I’m taking my time.”
