It is with utter amusement and shock that I read Jelili Adesiyan’s illiterate attacks on savvy Senator Ademola Adeleke.
It is first of all very significant to clarify that the incoming Governor of Osun state fulfilled constitutional requirements to seek governorship office and also manifested competence and capacity to deliver when he served as a Senator of the Federal Republic.
The whole state is a witness to the utter incompetency and roguish records of some people when they held sensitive office. It was also not surprising when such people suddenly embraced the worst gang of maladministrators represented by Gboyega Oyetola as their role model in state governance. It is time for these anti-people elements to accept that the voice of people is the voice of God especially on Ademola Adeleke’s candidacy and consequent God ordained victory at the polls.
Adesiyan’s statement is borne out of sheer envy and frustration. The attacks emerged from a disturbed mind finding it hard to comprehend God’s grace and people’s mandate for Ademola Adeleke. It is just an ungrateful mind who was a beneficiary of the Adeleke family now suffering from his political failures and rejection by the people.
We should ask my friend how best to measure capacity to govern. Ademola Adeleke’s records within a year as a senator surpassed performance of many two term Senators. He demonstrated capacity to identify the needs of the people and fulfilled the aspirations of his constituents. What is governance if not delivery of good governance and democratic dividends? The idols that Adesiyan now worship are worst harbinger of bad governance who had plunged Osun state into misery, pains and socio-economic backwardness.A: Anybody who is proud of Aregbesola/Oyetola records in Osun is either a psychopathic being or completely dehumanised inhuman personality.

Jelili Adesiyan cut his political teeth under late senator Isiaka Adeleke when he was appointed as the Director General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 1992 in the aborted third Republic. Wale therefore has a close enough relationship with the Adeleke family to know that his statement is not only false but highly reprehensible! Oyewale Adesiyan, haven spent well over 30 years in active politics and haven worked closely including myself with Senator Omisore for many years to achieve Omisore’s sole ambition of becoming the governor of Osun State before I dumped Omisore to join a more popular choice of the people in person of Ademola Adeleke, who was consequently voted for massively by the people of Osun State, is still in a state of shock and total frustration. This to my mind is responsible for the very reprehensible statement made by Adesiyan.
Ademola Adeleke, having satisfied constitutional requirements to contest the governorship as affirmed by various courts and having contested and won the governorship election, is, by God’s grace ,our Governor-in-waiting. He met human criteria in qualification and election alongside the grace and blessing of God. It is therefore with total confidence in God Almighty that the Supreme Court will restore the mandate the people of Osun State freely given to Ademola Adeleke come July 5th!
Those who fight the will of God face ultimate imminent defeat. Accepting the will of God is the source of everlasting peace and joy. My brother ,Jelili Adesiyan and other should learn how not to fight God.
