Dr. Godwin Maduka promises to “salute the civilians who risked their lives to safe others.”
Read below:
The fire incident in Onitsha today is a tragedy too complex to understand and too painful to endure.
My heart bleeds as I see pictures of our innocent brothers dying by fire and watching in confusion as their loved ones and properties is engulfed by escalating inferno.
Still,In the midst of this until unbearable tragedy,I will not fail to salute the civilians who risked their lives to safe others today as well as the delta State government for their intervention.
As we pray for the peaceful repose of the souls of the victims and Solace for their loved ones, may we remember that what happened in Onitsha today is avoidable therefore should never reoccur.
May the souls of all victims rest in peace, in Jesus Christ name, Amen
