Dr. Inyang Asibong bags International Agricultural Award

Cross River State Commissioner for International Development and Cooperation, Dr. Inyang Asibong, has been awarded with an International Agricultural Award.

Dr. Inyang Asibong was awarded by African Agricultural Organization (AAO) – the largest network of agricultural professionals, researchers and agropreneurs across Africa as the “Most Outstanding Commissioner Bequest To Promote Agriculture in Nigeria.”

According to the Sole Administration of the organization, Mr. Gabriel Ebaji, “This year, the organization seeks to honour African leaders who have made intentional, positive and astute contributions in the global drive to meet the sustainable development goals and in recognition of their outstanding service and support for agriculture in their state/province across Africa.”

He emphasized that, the Nigeria Team nominated Dr. Inyang Asibong as the “Most Outstanding International Commissioner Bequest to Promote the Advancement of agriculture in Nigeria”, he also posited that, Four other State Commissioners around Nigeria made the top five nominations list in this category.”

Presenting the the Award, Mr. Gabriel extolled the commissioner tenacity and allegiance in enticing federal and exotic donors into the state while applauding her outstanding role played in setting up an agricultural hub across Nigeria in synergy with the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO).

Responding, Dr. Inyang Asibong thanked the team for finding her worthy and deem fit to be confined this prestigious award. She avouched that, the government will consolidate its partnership with the Organization so as to achieve its core values and mandate across Nigeria.
