A Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Dr Kehinde Kadiri, has won the Outstanding Impact Personality of the Year Award of Gani Fawehinmi Impact and Integrity Awards for 2019.
According to UNILORIN Bulletin issued on Monday, the award ceremony was organised in memory of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, (SAN) by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA) in collaboration with the MacArthur Foundation.
The event witnessed a robust dissection of contemporary issues of political and national significance.
Notable guests took turns to analyse germane issues that attracted the attention of late Fawehinmi during his life time and career.
“Speakers also debated what would have been his likely reactions to current happenings in the country.”
The bulletin also reported that some of the guests included the Publisher of Premium Times, Dapo Olorunyomi, and a number of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, some of whom were Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s contemporaries as well as mentees.
