ECOWAS Secretary, Jesuovie Agadagba Christmas Message

The Secretary of ECOWAS PAN-AFRICA DAILOLOGUE, Hon. Engr Jesuovie Agadagba in his goodwill message for Christmas day celebration has charged members to always see themselves as one regardless of their ethnic, religion or political affiliation, adding that we must continue to demonstrate the spirit of oneness in all our dealings.

According to Hon. Jesuovie Agadagba, this season is another opportunity to reflect on the imagery of the humble, symbolic and divine birth of Jesus Christ.

Agadagba said in parts, ”I felicitate with all members of Pan-Africa Dialogue, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters, on the joyous occasion of this year’s Christmas, which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ.”

”I believe this season is another opportunity to reflect on the imagery of the humble, symbolic and divine birth of Jesus many years ago in Bethlehem and the message of hope, reconciliation, forgiveness and peace that Jesus Christ embodies and conveys.”

Emphasising more on love and sharing during Christmas, Jesuovie Agadagba says, ”As we celebrate Christmas, exchange gifts, pray and visit loved ones, let us remember many others who cannot afford a loaf of bread as a meal, let show love and care for our fellow compatriots.”

“On our part, we will continue to count on your prayers, support and cooperation of all patriotic Africans on the platform as we approach the new year with vigor, commitment and energetic strength to address the myriads of the challenges confronting us people”

The Secretary, however, uses the auspicious occasion to wishes all the National leadership of Pan-Africa Dialogue and their team Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

The ECOWAS PAN-AFRICA DAILOLOGUE group was set up to strengthen the Africa-EU Partnership through increased political dialogue and engagement. Contribute towards the development of an accountable, responsive and effective system of good governance at the pan-African level.

The Pan African Unity Dialogue was initially convened by the Institute of the Black World 21st Century out of recognition of the emergence of a “new African community” in the U.S.; a community enriched by the arrival of increasing numbers of Continental Africans and people of African descent from the Caribbean, Central and South America. Residing in the same neighborhoods does not necessarily mean that these diverse African people will unite to advance their mutual interests in a society where individual and institutional racism remain barriers to Black progress.
