EDOSEMA INAUGURATES LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY.

The Edo State Emergency Management Agency (EDOSEMA) led by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor, Mr Salami Luqman, on Tuesday, 8th October,  inaugurated Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC).

 

The Executive Chairman, Etsako Central Local Government, Comrade John Osi Akhigbe who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Rtn Kevin Ambrose Akhigbe, at Local Government Secretariat, commended the successful effort of Mr Godwin Obaseki’s led administration adding that this initiative will help the state respond promptly to emergencies.

 

While inaugurating, Mr Salami, SSA on Edo State Emergency Management Agency (EDOSEMA) said that the agency is an umbrella body that coordinates the activities of relevant agencies in prevention and management of disaster in the state.

 

He said the body is responsible for responding promptly to various emergency situations across the 18 Local Government Areas in the State.

 

He admonished the committee to ensure swift, prompt and effective response and to show the level of the Agency’s seriousness and commitment to ameliorate the plight of the people and to save as much lives as possible in the state.
