Here comes the Defence: Ekiti Police says no Police man was killed by Fayemi’s Convoy!

The Ekiti State Police Command has refuted claims that convoy of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbjo and APC candidate,  Dr Kayode Fayemi knocked down a police officer.

This is coming as defence after a viral news stated that Dr Kayode Fayemi’s convoy killed one Inspector Gabriel Kayode on Tuesday, 19th June.

The Command Public Relation Officer, Mr Caleb Nwachukwu, said it was another car entirely. A single car, not a convoy.

A Toyota Sienna Van with registration number: Lagos X2874 Eky knocked down two pedestrians on Bashiri road just before the newly constructed over head bridge.

Those affected in the accident were one Anayomi Ismailia and a yet to be identified police officer.

He added that the convoy of Vice President Osinbajo and Fayemi came in through the Ikere axis of the State capital around 12 noon, while the incident in question happened around 9am.
