Ekiti State Gov., Kayode Fayemi signs Transition Bill into law.

Nothing wrong in state governors borrowing from pension funds – Fayemi

The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi on Wednesday, 16th October, has signed Transition Bill into law.

The State Transition Bill signed is to prevent succeeding governments from abandoning projects initiated by past administrations.

This Ekiti State Transition law, which is the first in the country, will check the wanton abandonment of projects simply because they were not initiated by the incumbent.

The bill is expected to surpass the APC blueprint and make it a law for succeeding government to make sure works are properly completed.

Though the state assembly can repeal the law, but when institutions are meant for progress this will be landmark achievement.
