The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), on Wednesday, 16th May have released a statement that some fake Climate Change Activists will be roaming around the country attacking and destroying oil facilities.
The press released authorised by DCP Frank Mba, PRO, states that there will be massive attacks on oil installations accross the country especially in ‘oil land’ Niger Delta and other adjoining states.
According to this report, the plot is politically motivated with aim “at sabotaging oil installations with intended negative consequences on national security, economic development and global oil market”.
The DCP Mba goes further to state that there will be serious consequence for law breakers.
To this end, the Inspector General of Police, M.A Adamu, has ordered a nationwide “surveillance missions around oil facilities and other critical national infrastructure”, also urging Nigerians to be vigilant.
