FG engages UK Parliament on threat Sanction reaction on #EndSARS issues

Federal government of Nigeria on Wednesday announced that it has began dialogue with the United Kingdom Parliamentary on its decision to give threat sanctions to top Nigerian officials and security service officer that have allegedly violate the rights of #EndSARS protesters at the lekki toll gate incidence.


In a meeting at Abuja, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama briefed the state House Correspondents at the end of the federal Executive Council (FEC) after a meeting head by President Muhammad Buhar.

He stated that the federal government of Nigeria has initiated an opportunity to present their side of the story on the issues of the protest. He said though the British legislators are not suppose to be responsible for giving other Nations sanction, yet the Nigerian government has taken it upon itself to explain to the U.K government to enable them have a clear perspective.

Onyeama told correspondents on Monday that the U.K Parliament has considered a petition of 220,000 signatory to sanction some specific Nigerian officials on the issue of the 20th, October Lekki massacre.

Onyeama further explain that the federal government has provided the British government with enough information of all that actually happen during the protest.

Every details of both other events that unveil during the protest, the British is free to air its views and measures are begin put in place for conversions with youths in the nation on the issues of the protest.
