Flood: Nonso Okafor visited affected area to take action

 

Following the aftermath of the negative impact of flood rainfall of Friday, 27th September, 2019, the Member Representing Nnewi North in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nonso Okafor has visited the residence of some of his constituents across different villages in Nnewi, who lost properties worth millions of Naira and other valuables after the heavy flood caused by the rainfall.

Nonso Okafor (Smart) who visited some of the flood victims, today, Saturday 28th September, 2019, described the development as unfortunate, promising to draw the attention of the state government.

While sympathizing with some of the affected constituents, Nonso Okafor described the incident as a natural disaster, saying that such natural occurrence are not easily avoidable.

Speaking further, Hon. Nonso Okafor promised to draw the attention of the state government on the damages caused by the flood and the plight of the victims through legislative actions, promising to follow it up with letters and other forms of engagement.

He however advised Nnewi residents to ensure that they keep their drainages clean to allow free flow of water and also to take precautionary measures especially before building houses.
