Godwin Erhahon hails candidates that stepped down for Ize-Iyamu
Comrade Godwin Erhahon, Former State Chairman CPC and pioneer APC State Publicity Secretary, has congratulated candidates who stepped down for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to emerge consensus candidate.
Comr. Erhahon also encouraged the movement from party to part, saying “what is commonly referred to as his defection from PDP to APC is a gallant and purposeful homecoming.”

BRAVO EDO APC GUBER ASPIRANTS!
I congratulate all Edo State APC governorship aspirants who have sacrificially stepped down for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as consensus candidate.
Surely, all of them are eminently qualified for the to govern the state but only one of them can bear the party flag for the election.
They should therefore be honoured and respected as heroes, not weaklings.
It should be noted that though Pastor Ize-Iyamu returned from PDP to APC recently, he is not a stranger to the party.
Truth be told, Pastor Ize-Iyamu contributed more to the foundation of APC than any other leader of the party in Edo State.
This is so because he played the highest leadership role in the merger process /take-off of APC nationwide.
Therefore, what is commonly referred to as his defection from PDP to APC is a gallant and purposeful homecoming.
He has only come to continue his constructive and effective leadership role in the party.
Pastor Ize-Iyamu is obviously on a mission to fulfil destiny.
In my capacity as former Chairman of CPC legacy and pioneer State Publicity Secretary of APC, I recognize the Pastor as one leader who understands the need to carry APC members from the various legacy parties along both in the party and governance.
Before he was provoked out of APC in 2014 , he was an advocate of an all-legacies inclusive participation both in governance and party leadership.
Hence his popular acceptance.
I can assure him that the leaders of the alienated legacy parties will willingly and vigorously participate in his campaign because we all know he cannot dump us after victory.
Besides, the Pastor is known to be a grateful leader who is too honourable to renege on his promises to hardworking party leaders.
With habitually embittered Governor Obaseki, a born sadist and exclusionist, as his sole challenger in the primary , Pastor Ize-Iyamu is as sure as being APC candidate as an unopposed aspirant.
Governor Obaseki derailed on his ill-motivated return journey to Edo government house even before his first anniversary as Governor.
Between now and the September 19 governorship election most of his fair weather associates will start avoiding him like a Covid 19 patient.
Let’s join hands to deliver the Pastor at the poll and make our state great and peaceful again.
