The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, was at the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) on Wednesday, 14th August to fulfill his promise during election rally in 2019.

The Governor and his group, led by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mrs Olubisi Adegoke, met with stakeholders of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).

Some of the issues she highlighted by the 3SC during the visit were – lack of policy direction for the club and lack of an academy to grow players to feed the club.

Gov. Makinde have promised to fix these and to stay even much closer by attending one or two games of the club.

During his campaign, Makinde promised to get 3SC promoted within two years of assuming office. He assured all stakeholders that his administration will put in the necessary resources to restructure the club, motivate players and ensure its promotion to the premier league.

“I have been a 3SC supporter for years, and my father was a diehard supporter, so the club and its progress are a priority on both personal and official levels. I grew up watching 3SC’s matches live and promised to attend some matches of the club as Governor,” he said.
