Few days to the Supreme Court judgement, Osun APC is growing increasingly desperate, throwing tantrums, clinching to straws and manifesting failure signals.

At a time of great  expectations and judicial anticipation, Osun APC is predicating ability to perform in government on only paper qualification when BOTH RAUF AREGBESOLA AND GBOYEGA OYETOLA RUINED OSUN STATE IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS DESPITE THEIR SUPPOSED HIGH PAPER QUALIFICATIONS. Osun people are victims of ongoing bad governance by bunch of incompetent selfish administrators.

Let us check samples of their evil records achieved with their very high paper “qualification”.

– The Osun state airport project has grown weeds despite billions of naira disbursed and later siphoned on it.
– Osun retrogressed from 9th position to 28th position on national secondary school examination scale.
– Osun hospitals are death points due to criminal negligence.
– LAUTECH suffers unpardonable neglect and maltreatment.
– Thousands of state workers and senior citizens are sentenced to hunger and poverty due to non-payment of salaries and entitlements.
– Osun indebtedness is close to 350 billion naira. Evidence of maladministration and mismanagement of state resources stir everybody in the face.

What is the qualification of Osun governors who wrecked this havoc on a once promising state? HOW WAS THE STATE PLUNGED INTO THIS FINANCIAL AND GOVERNANCE TRAP AND MESS UNDER SUPPOSEDLY COMPETENT AREGBESOLA AND OYETOLA?

For eight years, the duo of Aregbesola and Oyetola mercilessly raped and plundered Osun state, mortgaging future of unborn generation through reckless borrowing for inflated phoney projects.

OSUN PEOPLE REJECT FURTHER PAIN, HUNGER AND MALADMINISTRATION.

What manner of qualification equipped people to destroy a once prosperous house like Osun as APC leadership have done ?

Aregbesola and Oyetola are the best example of how not to use educational qualification to predict performance of public officer in public office.

OSUN WORKERS AND CITIZENS NOW USE RECORDS IN OFFICE TO JUDGE LIKELY PERFORMANCE OUTCOME .THEY HAVE TESTED AREGBESOLA AND OYETOLA AND THEY FIND THEM OUTRAGEOUSLY INCOMPETENT, UNSUITABLE AND UNWORTHY OF THE TOP OFFICE. That was why on September 22nd, they voted Ademola Adeleke as the Governor. Osun people had possibly conducted a comparative study between the eight years of Aregbesola/Oyetola and the barely one year of Ademola Adeleke as a Senator of the Federal Republic.

As a senator, Ademola Adeleke demonstrated rich understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people and proceeded to devote all he has for them. He delivered across the sectors such that his performance records under a year surpassed that of those who served two terms in the Senate. His impacting and blissful tenure manifested in the areas of education, health, vocational training and job facilitation. He added more money rather than diverting his constituency fund and projects.

Ademola Adeleke with his experience in the private and public sectors proved his readiness to assume even bigger responsibilities by his performance as a Senator. He possesses what Osun people are seeking in a leader.

– Osun people want honest solutions to educational and social sector paralysis facing the state.
– They are eager for transparency in the management of state resources.
– They yearn for workers to be fairly treated.
– They expect an end to criminal enrichment of the political slaveholding cabal.
– They seek an end to diversion of state fund under the pretext of fake projects.

In short, OSUN PEOPLE DESIRE NOTHING BUT GOOD GOVERNANCE. THIS IS WHAT AREGBESOLA/OYETOLA CAUCUS HAS DENIED THEM. THIS WAS WHY THEY VOTED FOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE WHO HAS DELIVERED ON GOOD GOVERNANCE AS A SENATOR.

That decision is sacrosanct because the people are sovereign.

A key point is this. We are in a democracy with a constitution which regulates qualification for elections. Several courts have ruled that Ademola Adeleke fulfilled educational requirements to contest elections in Nigeria. Osun people had all the information and they decided to elect Adeleke as their governor.

That is the end of the story. Nobody has the right or prerogative to tamper with the will of the people.

At this point, the matter is before the apex court. Attempt at diversionary pontification on qualification and performance falls flat. THE LAST EIGHT YEARS PROVED THAT OSUN IS NOT SAVE UNDER OYETOLA.

The people’s mandate must be returned to the rightful holder – Ademola Adeleke.
