Unidentified gunmen have killed two policemen in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Daily Trust gathered that the policemen were shot at about 7pm Monday near Jen Junction along Karim-Lamido road when their patrol vehicle broke down.
It was gathered that the victims were trying to repair their vehicle when the gunmen on a motorcycle approached them and opened fire, killing two of them instantly.
The gunmen, it was further gathered took away two guns belonging to the victims and speed away into the bush.
Killing of the two policemen came three days after the chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area and his nephew were killed by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in Jalingo midnight.
The spokesperson of Taraba State Police Command, DSP David Misal, confirmed the incident.
“The police were attacked and killed while on their way to their duty post in Jen town,” DSP Misal said.
