Highlights of Chief Olusola Oke, SAN proposed plans to develop Ondo State to enviable standard as told core leaders on Thursday at Ikare-Akoko and Oka-Akoko are the following:

– Production of blueprints towards acceleration of socioeconomic developments of the State as soon as he is elected Governor in October;

– Revamping of moribund industries in the State like Oluwa Glass coy at Igbokoda; Ifon Ceramics coy at Ifon; and provision of industrial estates with state of heart facilities to place Ondo State on fast lane of industrialization;

– Agricultural developments to be accorded adequate priority attention with special consideration on mechanisms through youths engagements towards accelerated economic developments of the State;

– The health care delivery systems would be developed through proper rehabilitation of hospitals and comprehensive health centres; appointment of more health personnel and provision of standard equipments to boost the sector;

– Much emphasis would be placed on roads constructions and maintenances without section of the State being left out towards boosting its socioeconomic developments;

– Priority attentions would be given to employments of our teeming youths with a view to developing their potentials and towards curtailments of their restiveness;

– The sports sector would be revitalised through developments and maintenances of sporting facilities including stadia across the State and emphasis on trainings and retraining of sports technical officials;

– The Sunshine Stars FC and Sunshine Queens FC would be adequately assisted and supported to remain in topflight of Premiership Leagues through provisions of modern training facilities; prompt payments of salaries of technical and players salaries; and developments of the Games Village at Oda road in Akure;

– The Sea Port at Igbokoda would take off as soon as Olusola Oke administration is enthroned in an effort to boost industrialization and enhancements of the State revenue generations base;

– The Bitumen Project would be pursued vigorously through partnering with experienced technical partners in its massive exploitations towards boosting the State economy;

– Promotions and developments of educational sector with special emphasis on rehabilitations of dilapidated primary and secondary schools across the State; provisions of ITC and scientific laboratory equipments and libraries and appointments of Teaching and Non Teaching Staff;

– Tertiary institutions in the State- Adekunle Ajasin University at Akungba- Akoko; University of Science and Technology at Okitipupa; University of Medical Sciences at Ondo; and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic at Owo would be developed to meet international standards through reinvigoration of research facilities; prompt payments of salaries; appointment of more staff; and enhancements of monthly grants and reductions of school fees by students, etc;

– Traditional institutions as bastions of cultures and customs of the people would be respected and developed through promotion of cultural festivals; developments of archives and tourism;

– Developments of social schemes for the aged and the poor towards enhancement of their living conditions;
