There have been recent claims and confusions on the N703,000 Government Loan attracted by Senator Uche Ekwunife and it have become pertinent to set the records straight for clarity sake. There are also claims that Hon. Ebele Ejiofor made some individuals, the PDP Party Excos in Adazi-Nnukwu.
In December 2017, there was a PDP ward Congress in Anambra State which included Adazi-Nnukwu ward 1&2 were various individuals contested for various positions in the Wards. Fast forward to 2022, Hon Ebele Ejiofor, member representing Anaocha 1 Constituency have been claiming that he made individuals PDP party executives in PDP Adazi Nnukwu ward 1&2. If actually there was a ward congress in 2017(a ward Congress which he didn’t influence and asked everyone to go to the field) and there was a contest among party faithfuls who vied for different positions and winners emerged, how then did Hon Ebele Ejiofor make these individuals party executives? The individuals contested the election, campaiged with their funds and emerged winners of different positions in the party.
During the heat up of the 2021 PDP gubernatorial primaries, in her desperate desire to win the gubernatorial election, Sen Uche Ekwunife informed the five man PDP ward statutory executives for the primaries in one of her visits to Anaocha LGA that she will facilitate a federal government grant for them. Though it was later discovered that it was an FG loan (N703,000) and not a grant like she promised. Some of the five man PDP ward statutory delegates declined the loan including the PDP Chairman, Adazi-Nnukwu Ward 1.
Now, Hon Ebele Ejiofor have been going round telling ndi Adazi-Nnukwu that he influenced the N703,000 FG loan facilitated by Sen Uche Ekwunife to the five man PDP Ward Statutory delegates of Adazi-Nnukwu ward 1&2.
Hon Ebele Ejiofor told some Adazi Nnukwu youths (names withheld) to forward their names, account details and so on to him to facilitate their own loan on a condition that; if they get the loan, he will give them a name they will give 30% of the said loan. They refused stating that since it was a loan, they can’t give out any percentage because they will have to pay back the loan in full. They didn’t get the loan because they didn’t agree to Hon Ebele Ejiofor terms and conditions.
If truly Hon Ebele Ejiofor have the youths of Adazi Nnukwu at heart, why giving them conditions before he will reach out to Sen Uche Ekwunife on their behalf?
If the five man PDP ward statutory delegates are to host PDP faithfuls from the loan, what about him that have been collecting our constituency fund. Yet, he couldn’t redeem his #100,000 ward tour promise of 2019. A promise he made during his campaign in Adazi Nnukwu ward 1&2. He couldn’t even empower the party faithfuls that stood by him and made sure he is representing us today in the Anambra State House of Assembly. He collects constituency funds totalling over a hundred million naira with nothing to show for it.
What an irony
