HON. TONY NWOYE SPEAKS ON THE FATE OF THE NIGERIAN CHILD.

A Former Federal lawmaker and Anambra Philanthropist, Hon. Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye speaks on the fate of the Nigerian child as the world celebrates International day of children.

 

Hon. Tony Nwoye told newsmen that the Nigerian child is faced with a whole lots of challenges ranging from poor welfare, child labour, Child abuse, trafficking to mention but a few, he opined that life is rough for an average growing Nigerian child.



He explains that little has been done by government to support child welfare in Nigeria, he attributed the cause of these problems to negligence by government and parents.

 

Nwoye analyzed that state of family income makes parents subject their children to hard labour which exposes them to more dangers, while explaining why parents traffic their children in order to earn a living.

 

The former gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State elections challenged the government to create a better structure where children welfare is given optimum priority.



In the same vane, Chief Tony Nwoye advised parents to be more concerned about their children welfare, also  suggesting that couples should value family planning in order to enable them give birth to the number of children they can train properly.

 

He is of the opinion that children need strong care, good welfare so as not to expose them to societal dangers and other crimes. He also advised children to embrace home training and religious principles to enable them become good citizens when they grow up to become adults.



Hon. Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye is a philanthropist who has used his foundation; TONY NWOYE FOUNDATION to grant scholarship to many Anambra children, he has in many times assisted poor parents raise their children through welfare packages.

 

He wished every Nigerian children a happy celebration.
