How about a Bra that Detects Breast Cancer? (Eva Bra)

A teenager from Mexico, under Higia Technologies has invented a bra to detect breast cancer.

The 18years old,  Julian Rios Cantu said the bra would help for early warning of breast cancer symptoms.

The bra is called the “Eva Bra” and was made by Julian and three other friends after forming a company together.

The bra is only a prototype. Women using the bra would need to wear it for 60-90 minutes a week to get accurate measurements.

“At present, there is no evidence to show whether this bra is a reliable way to detect tumours, and it’s certainly not a good idea for women to use technology that hasn’t been tested in good-quality scientific trials.
“It’s great to see young people like Julian getting into science and having ideas that could help with cancer diagnosis. But an important part of science is rigorous testing, to make sure innovations like this actually benefit patients.”

The Eva bra, made by him and three friends who formed a company together, is only at the prototype stage.

Their company, Higia Technologies, beat young entrepreneurs from around the world to win $20,000 (£15,500) in order to develop this idea. They also won top prize at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.
