How Doctor Godwin Maduka came through for Anambra Flood Victims

DOCTOR GODWIN MADUKA BLAZES THE TRAIL AGAIN BY DONATING RELIEF MATERIALS TO VICTIMS OF FLOOD DISASTER IN ANAMBRA STATE

by Dr. Emezie Madu

A leading philanthropist Dr. Godwin Maduka has donated relief materials to victims of flood disaster in Anambra West, Anambra East, Ayamelum and Ogbaru Local Government Areas.

The inhabitants of these areas who are predominantly farmers have been dispossessed of their means of livelihood by flood as they cannot engage in farm work, their houses and roads covered by flood, schools, hospitals and maternity closed indefinitely.

Dr. Godwin Maduka through his foundation promised to find a lasting solution to over flooding of river banks in these areas, mostly caused by opening of dams in Cameroun, an activity which started in 2012.

The Communities were overwhelmed with happiness and vowed to support Dr. Godwin Maduka in any endeavour he would embark on for the benefit of Ndi Anambra.

The relief materials were handed over to the victims through an NGO called Anam Initiative. The Coordinator of the NGO is Unoma Tessy Ngaesina.

Dr. Godwin Maduka Foundation is the only body that had rendered help to these victims as confirmed by the people.
