Surprise for spectators as what was meant to be a professional game between Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance of Benin turned out to be street fight.

 

What really happened between both team could not be ascertained as at the time of this report, but in the video below, Remo stars and her supporters can be seen chasing the Bendel Insurance footballers out of the field.

 

An anonymous tip said that, the Reno stars were loosing to Bendel and couldn’t handle loosing at home ground, they therefore took advantage of slight provocation.

 

Sky Blue Stars lost 1-0 to the Benin Arsenals at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin after Daniel Johnson gave Bendel Insurance the maximum points from the spot in matchday six of the NNL.

Meanwhile, the Benin Arsenals lost narrowly 1-2 at the Godswill Akpabio Training Pitch, Akwa Ibom after FC One Rocket came from behind to defeat Bendel Insurance.

 

Bendel Insurance got the better of Remo Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium when Daniel Johnson gave the Benin Arsenals the maximum points from the spot in the 69th minute of the encounter.

 

Earlier, Remo Stars forward, Ibrahim Yusuf has encouraged his teammates to go all out to get maximum points against Bendel Insurance as they welcome them to Remo Stars Stadium on Sunday evening.

 

Ibrahim said the game will be an interesting game because and the boys are fully prepared for this encounter.

“We equally want to keep our hundred percent record at home, and I am optimistic that we will keep getting our win at home and then get some vital points away from home too.”

 

“I am ready for the game but the selection belongs to the coach but of the coach includes me in his squad for the game, I will make sure I put in my best to help the team get all three points against them.”

 

The last time the Benin Arsenals traveled to face Remo Stars was in 2019 and the game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Gateway Stadium, Sagamu.

 

 


A win for Remo Stars would have seen them maintain the top spot with 36points as the pursuit for the elite division remain paramount for the Sky Blue Stars. But here goes the chase.
