American model Jasmine Sanders’s nickname, “Golden Barbie,” is accurate on a number of levels. It’s fitting both for her signature beautiful blonde curls and of her personality. Since 2019, the 32-year-old has made five consecutive appearances in the annual SI Swimsuit Issue, bringing her bubbly personality to the set each and every time.
After being named Rookie of the Year in ’19, Sanders returned to the SI Swimsuit set in an even bigger way. In 2020, the model graced the cover of the year’s magazine in a photo taken in an idyllic beachside location in Bali, an island in Indonesia.
When it comes to modeling, she is “always wanting to challenge [her]self,” she said on set—something that a magazine cover photoshoot certainly demanded of her. “The creative juices never stop flowing for me. I always want to see if I can transform or do something different.”
If her modeling career has taught her one thing, it’s that “you are going to have your own time to shine,” Sanders remarked. “You just have to really keep going, keep pushing and don’t stop.”
If her time in Bali was anything, it was that: a time to shine. And she took full advantage of the opportunity. Sanders posed for a series of fabulous—and daring—photos clad in several glamorous swimsuits, making for snaps more than worthy of the cover spot.
