HRM. Igwe Jerome Ezeneche, King of Six Nations, have promised to continue lending his voice for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his ‘good fight’ for Igboland.
The monarch, said this whilst celebrating new yam festival in Bangkok, Thailand.
Igwe Jerome Ezeneche emphasised that there was need for Igbo custodians of culture to continue to promoting “our tradition even outside Nigeria in order to make sure that our people overseas were not disconnected from home.”
Speaking further, the Nigeria’s foremost leader in Thailand charged ndi igbo in diaspora to be ambassadors of Igbo culture wherever they find themselves, adding that “our culture remains our pride.”
Igwe Ezeneche also celebrated his birthday in solemn to reflect the mood of Ndi Igbo at this time, accross the world. His birthday celebrated on the 10th October every year with funfare was not loud this year.
On why he didn’t want to celebrate his birthday with so much pomp this year, Igwe Ezeneche stated that he was not happy with the way things are going in Igbo land and noted that there was no way he would be celebrating in Thailand while things are bad for his people at home.
He added that more birthdays will be celebrated in happiness and joy, promised to continue lending his voice for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and hoping for better days in Igboland.
