Ibadan North leads with COVID-19 Cases in Oyo State – The Oyo State government has announced the latest result for COVID-19 in the state with Ibadan North leading with 26 cases.

 

For the recent result, as at Monday, 11th May, one suspected case came back POSITIVE.


The case is from Ibadan South West Local Government Area, making the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State 65.


Moreso, the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) donated N250 Million to Oyo State – N220 Million for equipment and N30 Million for renovation isolation centres in the state while the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also supported with N100 Million.

 

“We are grateful to CACOVID and NCDC for the support,” says Gov. Seyi Makinde.

 

“We are working to increase the capacity of our isolation centres by adding a 100-bed isolation centre in Saki, 40-bed isolation centre in Ogbomoso, 40-bed isolation centre in Igboora, and another 24-bed isolation centre in Aawe near Oyo Town. We are also renovating the 10-bed isolation centre at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho,” he concluded.
