Ifeanyi Ubah condoles Ochanja Market, mourns Aloysius death
The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and Founder AfaIgboEfuna, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Friday paid a condolence visit to Ochanja Market Traders over the death of Mr. Aloysius Chiabuotu Odeme.
Aloysius who died at 40 in the recent Ochanja Inferno will be laid to rest today in his home at Nnenzu Isunabo Uturu Okigwe, Abia State.
Sen. Ubah was represented by the members of AfaIgboEfuna Ochanja Market led by the State Leader of AfaIgboEfuna, Hon. Mbazulike Iloka JP – Mba Mba.
Addressing the traders of the market, Mba Mba said that the Senator is always with them, and will continue to support them.
He said that one of the Senators promise during his visit to Ochanjo market was to always support the victims for whatever happened them, also happened to him.
Following his promises, Sen. Ubah on hearing about the burial of Mr. Aloysius sent them with condolence envelope and some items for the deceased wife and family.
According to Mba Mba, the Senator would have been present to mourn the deceased but unfortunately, he’s currently out of the country.
He urged the traders to keep hope alive, that all that were lost during the Inferno shall be recovered by the grace of God.
In response, the Chairman of all the all the victims of the Ochanja Inferno, Mr. Chinedu Okonkwo and his Secretary, Mr. Chinedu Chukwu thanked the Senator for standing by them in a time like this. Mr. Okonkwo said that all the traders/victims are witnesses to the activities and efforts being made by the Senator at the National Assembly over the Inferno. According to him, Sen. Ubah has always kept in touch after the incident till date. He prayed God to give him the strength and wisdom to do more.
Mr. Chukwu also said that the market is indepted to the Senator owing to the fact that he was the first person that visited the market, condoled and supported the victims immediately after the Inferno, then others followed. He appreciated the Senator and said that the market will always support his ambitions.
The deceased’s shop is located at the City Plaza along Zik’s Avenue Ochanja Market.
