Nigerians football lovers have condemned the recent attack on Imo female football team in Abia state.

According to 9news, the attack was a result of aggrieved reflex of the fans against opposite fan member while the game was on.

”It was a premeditated action by Ubakala Fc players who pushed their fans to war Imo team. The attack was carefully effected while waited to the close of the match to attack Imo Angels at their car stand ready to zoom off.

But the driver of the coaster bus was blamed for not being on steering in readiness to move Imo Angels away from the scene until the aggrieved attackers brook the windscreen of the vehicle.”

It is authoritatively revealed that the fans and supporters of Ubakala Queens FC of Abia State on Wednesday 23-02-2022 attacked players and officials of Imo Angels FC in Umuahia after a much publicized friendly match between the two teams.

However the match ended in a 1:1 draw but a second goal scored by Imo Angels FC was disallowed due to bad officiating by the referee and linesmen as chanted by both fans and spectators.

The chairman of the Home side, Ubakala FC, Agwo was alleged to have instigated this brutality according to an eyewitness.

The source further revealed that the Agwo said “he would destroy the Visitors” as alleged and indeed they ended up beating the entire team and broke the head of the Imo Angels’ physiotherapist.

As at the time of this report, no member of the management team of either team was available for comments.
