Imo State: Chijioke Onyeze aka Bracket, Notorious kidnapper and Cultist, killed

 

Chijioke Onyezen, a Notorious kidnapper and Cultist, best known as “Bracket” has been killed by operatives of the 34 Field Artillery Brigade, Obinze, in Imo State.


A statement released by the spokesperson of the Imo state police command, Ikeokwu Orlando, said the soldiers brought Bracket at the point of death to the Divisional Police Headquarters Ohaji on Monday, 15th June with an AK47 rifle recovered from him.

According to Ikeokwu, Bracket was behind all the killings in Ihie, Obiti and other communities around Ohaji/ Egbema lately.


He said notable among the kidnapper’s victims were: Obioma Iheka who was killed on April 6, 2020, Maduakolam Nwoguzo who was killed on April 14, 2020, and Alozie Amadi who was killed on April 4, 2020.

 

Ikeokwu said efforts are being made to arrest other members of his gang.
