Imo State: ISOPADEC protests over 3 Months unpaid salaries
Staff of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) on Tuesday, went for protest in front of Government House, Owerri, over 3 months unpaid Salaries.
Recall that Imo State Receives Oil Derivation Fund From FG every month which runs into Billions of Naira.
The sharing formula allocates 60% of this fund to Imo State Govt and 40% to ISOPADEC for onward dispensation of human capital and infrastructure development in the oil producing communities.
“Unfortunately in the past 3 months, Imo State Govt of the so called shared Prosperity has withheld this money and allowed people to languish in penury.”
