EPM chairman, Imuse rejects Oshiomhole’s request to procure consensus for Ize-Iyamu

EPM chairman, Imuse rejects Oshiomhole’s request to procure consensus for Ize-Iyamu

Colonel David Imuse (rted), Chairman of Edo Peoples Movement (EPM) has reportedly turned down the request by Adams Oshiomhole, to procure APC Governorship ticket for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

A confidential source hinted that David Imuse, crossed the red line for rejecting several calls put to his mobile phone by Oshiomhole, former Governor of the State, asking him to convey a meeting of leaders of thought in the camp.

But, Imose allegedly acceded to the counsel of his kinsmen give a side cheek to Oshiomhole and avert contempt of court debacle that is dangling on his neck.

The EPM state Chairman is also speculated to have skipped a meeting that was called at the instance of Oshiomhole who has been widely accused of power charge and cause division in Edo APC.

“He (Imuse) has stopped picking Oshiomhole’s call. He was asked to address a world Press Conference and make EPM members to endorse Ize-Iyamu.”

“But, he couldn’t do that; He is scared that he can be arrested and prosecuted for impersonation. Remember that the court had ordered that status quo be maintained”, the source said.

Crack team Naija recalls that Edo State High Court had in December 2019 extended the order directing that Anselm Ojezua be recognised as chairman of the Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The extension was granted by Justice O. Oviawe, on Thursday, December 5, ordered that the status quo as at 10th of November, 2019 with regards to the chairmanship of the APC be maintained, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
