Indefinit Shutdown of Osun Poly as Students attack Health Centre.

Osun Polytechnic: Sheu Aminu Hammed.

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree on Saturday, 1st June announced the indefinite closure of the school as students attacked health center due to the death of a student called Sheu Aminu Hammed.

Sheu Aminu Hammed is an HND 1 student who died on Friday evening, 31st May, allegedly, due to poor medical attention when rushed to the health centre.

As a reaction to this emotional attack, the management has resulted to ordering all students to vacate the premises and this order was given through a circular signed by the Registrar stating:

“This is to inform the general public that Osun State Polytechnic Iree has been closed down. As a result of this, all students are to vacate the school premises with immediate effect.
“Announcer Registrar”.

Grieving students had earlier gathered at the main gate to protest the unfortunate incident before a set of the crowd became uncontrollable and stormed the school’s Health Centre where they destroyed major equipments and other properties belonging to the facility.
