INEC PRINTED TWO CONTRADICTORY RESULTS IN OSUN STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION – BAYO ONANUGA

Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, has revealed details of what took place in the court when the All Progressives Congress went to challenge the results of the Osun State governorship election.

According to Bayo Onanuga, the Independent National Electoral Commission printed two contradictory results in the Osun State governorship election.

He said, after the election in Osun State, INEC printed the results and gave it to APC. After viewing the results, APC felt aggrieved and took the matter to court.

Onanuga disclosed that during the court case, INEC presented another results to the court instead of the one it gave APC.

Onanuga went on to say that INEC should have accepted that it made a mistake in the result it had previously given the APC.

He expressed dissatisfaction that INEC provided a newly printed results instead of accepting its mistakes.

Onanuga made this statement in reaction to claims by the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, that INEC has not assured Nigerians that the use of BVAS for the 2023 election will be 100 percent reliable. Onanuga was of the opinion that Tinubu was only trying to ensure that INEC is up and doing.
