All is not well with Edo People Movement (EPM), a dissident group loyal to National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole who is also the financier of the group that wanted to oust the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki out of office.

This situation came to the open at meeting organized recently at the instance of the representative of the national chairman to bring peace among the aspirants, which later became free for all.

The situation revealed to News Corner Nigeria by an impeccable source, said it all started when one of the aspirants was asked to step down for the other in order to build a formidable force against Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki. after some minutes of waiting, the former Deputy Governor stood and question why Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu whose return to the party is still under question, will be so firm in his resolve to contest the 2020 governorship election under the platform of the APC, a party he joined few months ago?

Odubu, further said he was brought to the party by a 2023 Presidential hopeful who is from Lagos and wonder how governorship aspiration becomes part of the gentleman agreement that brought him into APC. ” The way and manner Pastor Osagie is going about his campaign contravene the agreement that was reached, that paved way for him to join the party and he promised, he was not after the governorship ticket, but to head the Presidential campaign of the Lagos born politician in next general elections.

This infuriated Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who is fondly called POI by his admirers, he pointed out how he helped them both materially and otherwise to stand the political threat of the governor.

“My boys were everywhere doing the dirty jobs to frustrate the efforts of the Governor and his government, I did all that because I was interested in the seat, no man not even you that was a sleeping deputy governor can stop me”, he boasted.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu submission led to strong exchange of words that almost led to fisticuffs. The meeting was stop abruptly to avoid bloodshed because both aspirants were making calls to their boys.

News Corner Nigeria, reaching out to the another governorship aspirant under EPM aegis Maj. Gen. Charles Airhiavbere who is also loyal to Oshiomhole, who was conspicuously absent at the meeting, he vehemently said he will frustrate any other candidate from EPM camp if the ticket is not giving to him.

He said he has been the security cover for Oshiomhole and all the activities of Edo People Movement in Edo state, I also housed the frustrated 14 members-elect when they sojourn in Abuja.

“If they think they can used me and dump me, they should be ready for more crises within. I have invested hugely in this struggle, nobody, I mean nobody can stand on my way”, the retired General echoed thunderously.”
