Ize-Iyamu former Director, Mayaki shutdown media control room over unpaid entitlements
Mr John Mayaki, former Director to Pastor Ize-Iyamu campaign Organization has shutdown his media control room at Igarra, headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State.
The office was shutdown indefinitely on Monday, following his inability to retain the remaining few support Staff in the office arising from unpaid entitlements by Pastor Ize-Iyamu from the N500 million support fund.
Mayaki was said to have dismissed the few support Staff attached to the office with an assurance that they may be reconsidered either when finances would have improved or when Ize-Iyamu is properly prepared for Edo 2020 Governorship election.
Crack team Naija reports that Mr Mayaki shutdown the office on Monday morning, after a protracted and devastating budget cut from an Abuja based Edo politician who withdrew his financial support after he got enlisted into Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu campaign organization in April 2020.
The development seems to have confirmed Crack team Naija past reports, alleging serious crisis of confidence that had engulfed the campaign team and members of the proscribed Edo Peoples Movement (EPM).
Investigation revealed that “one of the mandate that was given to those support Staff when the control room was set up was to damage the reputation of of Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki and other prominent political dissent.
“Since he took up the assignment as Director of Media and Commutation to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu campaign organization, the funding from Abuja stopped with the expectation that POI will pick up the monthly bills.”
“Pastor Ize-Iyamu does not is not prepared for Edo Governorship election, rather, the later wants to use the position as EPM aspirant as a bargaining chip to negotiate with the Government, collect money from friends and associates and enrich himself with the loot”, according to sources.
Crack team Naija can report that Mr Mayaki has embarked on wide consultation with EPM members on how to negotiate a bend and forge ahead with his future endeavour.
