Barrister Mikhail Adejare Adebisi, simply known as Jare Adebisi, is dead.
Jare Adebisi was the Deputy Chief of Staff on General Administration, Osun State
Though no official statement has been made by the Osun state government, but close source says he died of prolong illness on Friday, at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos State.
He was battling with this illness which kept him away from office for about two months before he died.
The Ilobu-born Politician died less than a year after he was inaugurated into office as the Deputy Chief of staff on general administration to Governor Oyetola of Osun State.
Jare Adebisi died around 8pm on Friday and his remains will be interred on Saturday according to Islamic rites.
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in October 2019 appointed Mr. Mikhail Adejare Adebisi as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) in charge of General Administration.
Before his appointment, he had served both as Assistant Chief of Staff and Special Adviser in the Governor’s Office.
A lawyer cum politician, Jare Adebisi was elected Councillor and he was Supervisory Councillor for Education, from 1997 to 1998, and he was also the State Publicity Secretary of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), from 2003 to 2006. He had also served in various capacities in the Action Congress (AC) before he joined the government in 2011. He holds an LL.M degree and he was pursuing his doctorate programme in Law.
Jare Adebisi was a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile-Ife, where he bagged a B.Sc degree in Sociology/Anthropology, equally holds a law degree as well as an M.Sc degree in International Relations from the same university.
