Joseph Odok: Nigerians criticizing Buhari are not learned

Joseph Odok: It is easier to destroy than to build, check the time that a builder takes to demolish a house and compare it with the time it took to build the same house. We all accept that PDP destroyed Nigeria for 16 years but the same PDP that destroyed Nigeria are the most impatient with Buhari that is greadually building Nigeria from it’s ruins.

I feel happy when Buhari is criticized, it’s keep him on toes but we must be fair when criticizing him. Shockingly most of those that criticize Buhari are those who destroyed Nigeria or benefitted from the corruption that destroyed Nigeria. It is true that Buhari has failed in some part but surely on track. I love Buhari and urge him to know that Nigerians are in an emergency situation and so much is expected of him.

Compare the achievements of Buhari with those of your State Governors, National Assembly members, your State Houses of Assembly Members, Local Government chairmen and councillors, Cabinet members in all spheres of Government, Civil Servants, Civil Societies, the media, the Judiciary, traditional and religious leaders, political appointees etc and give some credit to him for being so different from them.

Though alone, he is gradually moving Nigeria to economic stability amongst the commity of nations. Nigeria will move faster in it’s journey to liberation if we engage all elected Nigerian politicians and critical stakeholders the way we criticize Buhari. We will be unfair when we excuse those around us because of the benefits we derive therefrom only to blame Buhari for all problems Nigeria is currently facing.

The most annoying part is those criticizing Buhari more live in States with the highest level of institutionalized corruption and impunity. The pangs of hardship and corruption bites them more and they shift the blame to Buhar. Borno was in ruins but today moving slowly on track because of good governance. If our State Governors have keyed into the interventions of Buhari’s administration, lots would have changed. Let’s be fair to history and give unbaised criticism when opportunity calls.

Too many people fighting Buhari to distract him yet we join them in their false propaganda and pretend we love Nigeria. Let’s be more patriotic and altruistic in our engagements if our love for Nigeria is truly genuine. Some claim they love Nija but they are always in association looters of our economy and use propaganda to demonize Buhari with unfair names just to protect their pay masters and personal interest.
