Former Arsenal striker and Nigeria football Legend, Kanu Nwankwo was reportedly robbed of $11, 000 (9,300 euros) at the Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport, Russia on Sunday, 3rd June, 2018.

Kanu Nwankwo was on his way to playing in a friendly match organised by FIFA alongside former England international, Wes Brown and former Brazilian international, Cafu, before being robbed while arriving from London.
Two baggage handlers who handled check-in luggage for a flight from London to Moscow have being detained so far by the Russian Police.
Kanu reported the missing cash when he arrived at his hotel and discovered it was not in his luggage, though it is not clear clear why he was carrying that amount in cash – N393,7508.59

“The stolen money has been seized and will soon be returned to its owner,” Irina Volk, a police spokeswoman said in comments on the Interior Ministry website.
Police did not name Kanu in their statement, but the police press service told Russian news agencies Kanu was the victim of the theft.
