Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho was missing at the Nigerian senior national team during their first training in Lagos ahead of this weekend’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles play the Squirrels in the Group L fixture, knowing that a win would see them qualify for the tournament in Cameroon next year.

Coach Gernot Rohr took charge of the training, as all invited players participated in sessions that focused on ball work.

Rohr’s men will held their second warm-up on Wednesday evening.

Kelechi Iheanacho later arrived on Wednesday morning, giving the national team a boost for their African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
