Kogi United FC calls for calm after disappointing draw with Road Safety FC

Chairman of Kogi United FC, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah has pleaded with supporters, fans and followers of the club not to relent in their support for Kogi United despite the poor run of result in recent time.

 

The Club’s helmsman who spoke to the club media after Kogi United was held at home by visiting Road Safety Fc on Saturday at the Confluence Stadium express disappointing over the outcome of the match.

 

“I’m absolutely disappointed with the outcome of today’s match.This is definitely not the result we prepared and fought for but that’s the game of football for you. I want the players and the entire team to put the disappointing draw behind them and focus on our next match away at Kebbi United next Saturday “.

 

“The boys played well but failed to convert most of the good chances that came their way and the last straw that shattered my evening was the missed penalty in the closing minutes.The technical crew should brace up and improve on their effort and turn the fortune of the club around.”

 

Honourable Abdulmalik Isah however promised supporters of the club across the state that in no distant time,the club will start winning and bring smiles to the faces of the supporters and fans.

 

Kogi United will on Saturday 21st May 2022 visit far away Kebbi State to book a date with Kebbi United at the Abdu Haliru Stadium,a match the Confluence State team desperately need to leave the red zone of Group A2 of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
