A 35-year-old man named Michael Akolawole died 10 days after his mother gave him a mixture to treat his epilepsy.
According to Leadership, Michael was reported to have given up the ghost in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment in Ondo town, the headquarters of Ondo West local government area.
The deceased, who was suffering from epilepsy, was given a chemical substance called ‘’Koikoi” by his mother, with the hope that it would cure the ailment. Sadly, his health took a drastic turn and he was rushed to the hospital where he was placed on admission.
Anike Adeyosoye, the deceased’s mother, was detained by the Amotekun corps but subsequently freed so she could care for her son in the hospital. She took to her heels as soon as her son’s body was placed in the hospital mortuary.
