The students of the apex body of Kwara state students in Offa Polytechnic under the umbrella of National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) in a unanimous voice passed a vote of confidence on the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Kwara South, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim at Offa on Wednesday.

The Students in justifying their endorsement for Senator Rafiu and PDP lauded the series of interventions of the PDP Kwara South Senatorial Candidate which includes but are not limited to scholarships, construction of Offa – Ojoku road thereby easing movement to their main campus, skills and vocational empowerment and facilitation of job employment for 87 young people into different Federal Government Agencies and his resolve to double the efforts when reelected.

The students’ body also lauded Senator Rafiu for his ongoing empowerment scheme for young people tagged Karakata, which empowered 350 young people around Kwara South including students of the institution, with a resolve to increasing the numbers of beneficiaries to 3000, when reelected. According to the students, the initiative is unprecedented and worthy of commendation.

“These are commendable ways of empowering our young people, and we are very proud to associate with you.”, the Students’ association president was quoted to have said.

Senator Rafiu Ibrahim appreciated the students for their endorsement and promised to continue to prioritize the needs and interests of the students and youths of Kwara South.
