Lagos State suspends reopening of worship centers till further notice

Babajide Sanwoolu, Governor of Lagos State suspends reopening of worship centers till further notice

The fresh decision was made known on Tuesday, 16th June.

Recall that Governor Sanwo-Olu had earlier revealed that from June 19 religious centres will be allowed to open in the state.

He said mosques are to reopen from June 19 while churches are to begin services from June 21.

However, the Governor disclosed on Tuesday that the whole plan has now been suspended until further notice.

He said this is as a result of the rising number of cases in the state.

With 7,317 cases, Lagos has the highest number of infections in Nigeria.
