A car rental company based in Germany, Luxury Rental Benelux, have made claim on a Lamborghini car stolen at Switzerland now touring expressways in Ghana.
The newspaper reports have it that the car was rented to a young man with a Ghanaian passport in front of the Hilton Airport Hotel in Opfikon ZH, a municipality in Switzerland.
According to the rental company via Instagram, the car was rented in June at Zurich, Switzerland by a Ghanian named Mensah Micheal and have gone missing since then.
The alleged Ghanaian failed to return the car and reportedly upgraded, or deactivated, the GPS, making it difficult for the owner to track.
“He just flew away, even upgraded the GPS. Now I cannot even locate my Lambo,” Torun said at the time.
The exotic car which have been located in Ghana and carries a Nigerian number plate customized with the name, “Chosen 1”.
The Zurich local media, Blick, identified the owner of the car as Deniz Torun (30).
The specific model of the car is Lamborghini Huracan Spyder (610 hp). The original number plate for the stolen sports car is ZG-27482.
The company promised a cash reward of €10,000 for anyone who has tips regarding the current location of the car and how it can be found.
“We are optimistic to get the car back – I would even travel to Ghana if I have to,” Torun tells Blick.
After the posts on the missing car went viral, the person in possession of the luxury car decided to contact the car renting company and call for negotiation.
