In recognition of a job well done in terms of adequate reportage and prompt traffic updates, the Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA) Committee on Information and Strategy, has commended the Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 FM for helping Lagos State residents navigate the metropolis with ease.

 

 

The Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information and Strategy, Mr. Setonji David, gave the commendation when he led other members of the Committee on a courtesy visit to the Station as part of its oversight functions. While promising support for Lagos Traffic Radio, David advised the Station not to lose track of its specialised role and called for more inclusion of Local Languages in its content and programming.

The Chairman justified the establishment of the Station, stressing that Lagos, with a population of over 20 million residents and a small landmass, needs a station like Lagos Traffic Radio to reduce the challenges that the people face on the roads. David added that the Station is serving its purpose and playing a major role in the society as residents rely on its regular traffic reports to navigate easily across the State, advising the station to continue in its efforts and not rest on its oars by providing more initiatives in the delivery of traffic advisory.

 

 


 

Pledging unalloyed support of the Committee for the Station, the Chairman promised to help in resolving operational challenges and enhancing service delivery to its numerous listeners across the Lagos metropolis.

 

The Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, who was also a member of the visiting delegation, Mrs. Kehinde Alli-Macaulay, applauded the Station for its efforts, urging the Staff and Management to remain committed to improving traffic information
