Maigida Gov’t did not pay GeriGedi (Amputated salary) to any state workers despite economic challenges, says Banu

A former finance Commissioner for Kwara state, Ademola Banu, have said Gov. Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq did not pay GeriGedi (Amputated salary) to any state workers despite economic challenges

He said this on Harmony FM while breating Gov. Abdulrahaman for misleading Kwarans over Salary matters.

He said; “Leme make it clear that in August this year alone, more than N4Bn came to our LGs as allocation , the Governor only needed around N2Bn to pay salaries, where is the remaining N2bn and how did he spend it?

“There was no time Maigida Government owe any state workers salary, we did not also pay amputated(GeriGedi) salary to anybody in the state . I was in full control of state finance and I know how it all went.

“For a whole Governor , who has access to all documents and reports , to be telling people that past government owed salary is a deliberate mischief and i’m even surprised that Governor Abdulhaman that is recieving up to N4bn monthly allocation for Local government could be bragging about prompt Salary payment “
