After forgetting his rucksack at Braunschweig train station in Germany at the weekend, a 22-year-old man turned to the police for help but didn’t mention the illegal drugs inside.
The police said they contacted the rail operator Deutsche Bahn and duly found the bag, and let the owner know he could come and collect it.
In the meantime, however, officers also confiscated the marijuana and a can of amphetamines which they found inside the rucksack.
The owner arrived to claim his belongings only to be hit with a charge of possessing illegal drugs.
