Man Found Dead Beside Antelope At Ugwuekuma, Abia State.

A hunter was found dead beside an antelope at Ugwuekuma, in Arochukwu, Abia State, on Tuesday, 5th January, 2015.

News have it that he went hunting as usual on Monday, the 4th, then discovered one of his trap had caught an antelope. He thought the antelope was almost dead, so he undid the trap only to discover the animal was ‘kicking’.

They got into a fight and of course it had to defend itself using its horns. It succeeded in piercing the man badly into the belly while the man on the other hand struck it heavily on the neck leaving the animal dead. Unfortunately for him, it was fatal. He died few hours later.

Since he didn’t return that day, the villagers went in search of him.
