A 30-year-old man has dragged the neighbour he hired to impregnate his wife to court after 75 failed attempts.
Darius Makambako and his 28-year-old wife, Precious had been told by a renowned doctor that he was sterile.
Makambako, a member of the Tanzanian Police Force (Traffic Department), then hired his neighbour Evans Mastano 32, a fellow police officer in the country’s commercial city, to impregnate his wife.
According to reports, the couple opted for Evans since he was already married and had fathered two daughters.
Makambako paid Mastano 2,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings (equivalent to K10,000) for the job and for three evenings a week, for 10 consecutive months in 2016.
It was gathered that Precious, a nurse at a private clinic, had decided to get a three months’ vacation leave (March to June 2016), to dedicate her time to sleep with her husband’s best friend and neighbour, in order to have her first child.
However, Evans’ efforts to impregnate Precious wasn’t successful after a total of 75 different attempts, despite the husband leaving them in bed the whole day, at most times, according to reports.
Makambako had reportedly told Evans to have a medical examination when he failed to impregnate Precious after 10 months, and he did the medical test in January 2017.
Makambako was however shocked after the doctor revealed that Evans was also sterile. The revelation also forced Evans wife to confess that he was not the real father of her two children, but his cousin Edward.
“I was forced to secretly sleep with his first cousin for these two children, after realising that my husband could not impregnate me for two years.” Angela told the Dar-es-Salaam Today News.
Makamboko is suing Evans for breach of contract, in an effort to get his money back. Evans on his part refused to give back the money, maintaining that he did not guarantee conception, but only gave it an honest try.
